Those Who Do Not Learn from History

Tell The World!
  • We do not have to look far back in history to see that peace through strength is much more than a slogan. On the front page every day is the utter devastation and carnage of a developed nation not that different from ours where an aggressive country is decimating a neighbor – as Russia is doing to Ukraine. Attempts to forestall this situation failed because aggressive regimes understand only one thing: ability to apply force is the only deterrent to them.

Biden and the Jets!!!

Say you’re Europe, and you want to buy or build something to assist you and your country in its defense. Well, last year, and for example for 21 years this century, you and your citizens may say, “Why oh why would we spend any Euros on our defense? We are at peace; we have been at peace with all our neighbors for decades! “ But out of an abundance of caution, you get some missiles, arms for an army – things like artillery, a few tanks, a bunch of other stuff I won’t go into like rifles, helmets, boots, and so forth, and some jets. Now, you can maybe manufacture many of these things, but not tanks and jets, for sure. You can get these items from big countries like the US, China, France, Germany, England, and maybe a few other countries. They are all the new stuff that are meant for very high tech warfare across the world.  And you’re not going to get China armaments out of – you guessed it – an abundance of caution. Or, you can get some older items from Russia. So you do get them from Russia, because the price is lower, and really are you going to fight some huge war anyhow? Russia sells you a few dozen of each, tanks and jets, and you train all the ground crews and pilots.

Like, who are you going to use these items against anyhow? Latvia? The forces from Turkey, which is hell bent to take, say, Warsaw? (Note: Turkey is not.) No. they’re to keep you safe from Russia and hold up your obligations to NATO. Maybe some war breaks out in the Middle East, and you want some security in case.

So, in the passage of time, Russia actually does want to start expanding, and your neighbor Volo wants help to defend his invaded country. You got these jets and tanks and stuff. Who did you think the jets were going to be used against anyhow? RUSSIA. So you want to “lend” them to that neighbor Volo, because if they can hold off Russia, it’s far, far, far less likely you’ll be next on the list. And your other friends will help you out in case you ever need to backfill on the jets – you’ve got a treaty. Your friends agree with this.

Where did you think those jets would be used in the first place? RUSSIA

Where did Russia think those jets would be used in the first place? Also RUSSIA!

So use those fighter jets!!!! That’s what they were bought for!! And everybody knows it!!!

Fighter Analogy

So this fighter, see, he gets to the seventh round, see, and an’ sits on his stool and says “Manager, what should I do next? We’re pretty much at a draw here, an’ this guy hits below the belt ya know, where he’s not s’posed ta, an’ is HURTING ME.” A course the fighter don’t call him manager, so we’ll call him, uh, um, Joe. Joe says ”Keep punching him but not too hard. Don’t use your best stuff. We don’t want him to go down, we just want to keep him fighting until he decides what to do next or maybe he’ll give up. It’s up ta him.”
